How much would you pay for GC?

The code itself if its clean and clearly documented is worth a minimum of $10,000. The actual server is not necessary because honestly you can probally get much better deal for a good one in Europe or the USA.

Assuming 50% of active gc players (est. 320) have a $6 monthly paid a account he is grossing around $800.00 gross a month. i doubt this even covers the banwidth cost and running expenses. I really be suprised if GC was profitable at all. That cash ocw called UC is probally the only reason GC still exist otherwise it would be so unprofitable he would have to shut the game down.

As is games probally worth $8,000 to $16,000

To have a descent programer do a clone of this game your looking at about 6 months work. Which would be around $25,000.00 in just labor alone.

Anyway i heard Stephen has a real job now so this really isn`t his primary income anymore.

I wouldn`t pay for this game in general, i would just use the money that could have bought the game to make my own, almost like bip/lothor/kev said but my coding experiences is extremely bad currently so that meaning i would pay others to make what i want.

I agree with Bip as well... recreating something from scretch isnt easy but fixing the bugs & knowing ur system, code & whatever done to the key is great for faster editing & fixing & improving a game...

Without knowing how well things are documented or at least commented you cant know the work effort involved in improving it...

lothor someone could copy(not exact) and base it out of America or wherever they live..... I`m sure someone can get their own server in America instead of Malaysia...lol
