Is the size of the planets pure random, or is there a influence from other parameters (time, number of planets, ...)

To see the range of land on each different kind of planet, go to the Manual -> Planets.
Paid account players can find up to 20% bigger planets, for example, Barren range is from 50 to 950, for paid is 50 to 1140.
Though, as bomocho said, the size you get is completely random.

it is pretty much random what type you get, and how big that type is in its category(each planet has different range)
but the the planet class does have a percentage of rarity
like X class are uncommon, and S and U class are realy rare, and rare-ish
i dont have exact numbers for you, but you wont find them very often.
