non paids are getting 20 now, whereas you`re getting 30. You`re still getting what you paid for. An ADVANTAGE. 30 a little while ago WAS the paid advantage, 20 the unpaid. It`s a glitch in the game that for some odd reason it reverts to it`s original state during DMs. Suck it up, you`re STILL getting what you paid for. Nothing in your paid says you`re getting 45 turn storage, what it DOES say is 50% bigger storage than non paid. That`s what you`re getting.

After removing `Free Account` restrictions you will get:-

+15% extra turns !
+50% extra turn reserves !
+20% chance to finding artifacts !
+20% (up to) more land when exploring for planets !
Use max of 99 turns instead of 9 turns (for research)

Current Turn storage is 20, you still have what you paid for ( 15% more turns & 50% more storage compaired to a none paying empire )


in other words stop trying to give that excuse... you did not pay for 45 turns 45 turns was the raised bonus not too long ago....

If you think Mara left over a 15 turns dispute you are awfully naive. It was just the straw that broke the camel`s back.

Guys.. let the admins settle this one by one.. w/o Stephen`s magic, they won`t be able to do much (i guess) so leave them alone.. have patience n stop whining...

That`s fair, it is unfortunate that complaining comes with the territory... but that seems to be the case.

It`s also worth nothing that there is a difference between complaining and constructive criticism/expressing valid concerns i.e "c.rap I used to have more turns and now I do not, why?"

Maraudian was one of the best things to happen to GC in a while, I don`t care what anyone says. He volunteered his time, yes, but just because he volunteers and doesn`t get paid doesn`t mean you *do* give him cr4p. Sure there are no benefits promised, but that doesn`t mean you should give him a hard time. All he has ever done is try to help. It`s just sad to see people so unappreciative.

That`s just what I think. Anyway, I`m done with this thread now.

I happen to share bip`s sentiment... it`s quite annoying hearing the admin complain about how people don`t appreciate anything he does and he moans about how they moan etc etc etc. A volunteer postion is just that - a choice with no benefits promised. As admin Mara holds (held?) a position of power and with great power comes great responsibility, specifically the responsibility to be confident enough in the validity of your own decisions and mature enough to be held accountable to those you have chosen to serve. As an aside: Imagine George Bush stepping down as president because he is fed up with people not liking his decisions.

I also think it`s a grave error to lump all of GC`ers together into the category of moaners and complainers. Read: unknownevil back off.

GC is full of problems, but people enjoy it anyway with or without updates or any other gimicks.

For the record - I don`t even care about the turns on RT. I log on long enough on RT each day to get borders and that`s it. I`m just trying to help get the bug figured out. Which, correct me if I`m wrong - was the whole point of turning on the DM server in the first place.

In case you forget Pandy - I once held "positions of power" within this game as well, long before you guys ever did, and I put up with all the same junk. It comes with the territory. The difference is, I didn`t run away crying about it like you guys do.

And I haven`t been taking "whining, whinging, bitter digs" at anybody, so back the heck off. Maru wanted us to report bugs with the DM and that`s all I`ve done.

not really unpaid people get max turns and use 1 stc on urself and u will get 30 turns and from that point it will be max 30 all the time during dm:P

doesnt work :-|

Do not blame you at all Mary, take some time off though have a break, and see how they enjoy having UC admins manage GC while you are off.

and Bip, of course admins leave because of the biting and moaning, why wouldn`t they, they`re not paid to put up with all the dung that is slung on them to see what sticks, they`re players who pay to play more often than not, who give up their time, their life and lose GF`s and BF`s over trying to spend enough time to keep you all plush and happy.

And all they get is whining, whinging, bitter digs at them from has beens like you.

just a thought... maybe if you would have ever actually explained WHY you were forcing the RT people to sign up for DM if they wanted their normal turn storage, then people would have actually understood your position. But as it is - you`ve completely avoided that particular question. As far as RT people are concerned - all they know is that many of them are being coerced into signing up on a server that they don`t want to play on, just to keep the turn storage that they are used to. And as far as the RT people are concerned - you were singling them out. Why not coerce the turn-based people to sign up for the DM too?

You want to leave because of the whining and moaning by all of the players, but what are you doing now? The exact same thing every other past admin has done. Try to change the game for the good - get complaints - and then get all upset about it. In case you haven`t noticed, people are not leaving the game. There are plenty of us that are still here. Plenty of us that left the game for the real world and then game back. Nobody`s going anywhere. People are going to complain. That`s life. So how about actually just listening to the complaints, and instead of getting all worked up about people complaining, actually listen and try to get their perspective on things.

Just my two cents...

wow i feel sorry for poor marudian, he is the best thing GC has (other than Anfrit`s mod pack). but instead of enjoying any of his attempts to making GC better we all find the faults and complain about it.
i think that the DM was a good idea, even seen players ask about it.. not to mention that it wasn`t long ago the turns were changed from 20-30 non-paid and from 30-45 paid..
so it seems we all took the turns for granted, even though they will return soon.

no wonder stephen doesn`t do any updates... YOU ALL DO NOT APPRECIATE ANYTHING

well there have been enough complaints to make me give up on the DM , give up on admin , and give up playing all together , i cant be bothered with the attitude given when i try and do something tbh , im currently about to speak with juju about me leaving over the sole reason of the gc community`s donging. i have very little time to myself so why should i waste it on a bunch of ungratefull stuck up people who only care about 15 turns of storage on There empire and refuse to listen to the simple cures they can do themselves. * is really at his limit at the moment

may have escaped peopls notice, but i`ll mention it anyway.

If you use Anfits Mod pack, it tells you how many turns you are up to, so i simply wait till that hits 45 without clicking on anything else. when it does i hit research and guess what

You used up 45 turn(s) Credit -6,197 Food +455,400 Goods 0

admittedly i don`t make anything much per turn, but so the hell what i`m marauder :P wioth only 2 u fertiles.

But if you did not all sit with your chat refreshing or refresh teh screen and use that to figure out when you hit max, you still get the 45 turns.

surely i`m not the only one that notices these things.
