There is a reason they have the 99% modifier there. Invulnerability to a certain damage type, or near enough. Same reason you would never, ever use energy weapons on a guardian. Worse than useless, they just serve to get slaughtered.

its is stilll going to take 2000 turns to build enough ships to take out one of these ships. don`t know about you but i have a life outside of this game and it looks like i am going to get more time to spend on life because this is wrong.

The +99% actually gives the Yang-Xe an effective hull of 45,000,000 against chemical. Consider the percentages on the hulls to be the relative effectiveness of your weapons, not the relative strength of the hull.

1 is the normal damage multiplier.

Damage*(1-ShieldModifier) is how it works. So 99% means that you are dealing 1% of the damage that you normally would deal.

then why bother giving us hope or at least let us have some fun destroying some ships.

am o missing something. if the hull of the K. Yang-Xe is 450K and it has a +99 which will give the hull a 900K. if i attack with 1640 strafz queens on aggresive should i not at least take out one of these ships or is it another case of the higher ups being determined that this UW will explode the server. just wondering.
