*Puches Corun in the face*

If you look @ howw many guards are on each server compaired to the rest... I dont think this matters @ all.

Coruns build at 130k PR a turn.

I think the fastest viral ship possible is lyth, at 60k PR a turn.
Followed by angel at 46k PR a turn.

So if corun is decreased to 65k PR a turn, it all balances out. Right?

I seriously don`t get the base PR argument. Tax empires deal with it every day. Might as well ask how do tax miners survive with such high base PR. And they have slower + cra.ppier ships than guards. If you`re really THAT afraid of some guy hovering above you while you`re in dp, build diamonds. Or make a balanced stack, if the guy is spamming something you know (anfit`s multi-build mod). Or don`t be tax, strip mine instead (tax is one of the more difficult ways to play, correct? Not easy comm or agri, with lower base PR)

Omegian pretty much sums it up. If the point is to stop spamming, then why leave out guards? Their big ships build 2-3x faster than everyone else`s CAPITAL ships...

I think it should be nerfed to...

guards already out build every race.. but why make it so hard to even get into range to counter them...

plus G.Corundum is very good vs a player that is stacked

not a ton of those post below where its vs other Capital ship spams

Im only reading that guard spams vs first other races spams...

so the only thing im reading is spamming tactics...nothing to do with stacking...
i think a cut in build rate should promote stacking

as for strikes high base power thing... ALL tax empires know they can deal without population for a day if they really need the lower base power to fight...

yes it might be costly to an empire... but you know what thats the empire problem for getting such a high base power.... deal with it... dont whine about it

Nerfing isnt gonna decrease the spammage being throw around .. even if it is a goal .. without stephen adding some kinda anti spam stuff like UC has .. its pointless .. just another blow to guards .. not like it really matters .. well w.e .. do what you must :

Hmm, if I recall waht Maraudians goals are, that this game needs to have more stacking and become more balanced, arent we just asking that in a sense, since we have nerfed every other major captial ship because it was spammed to make more fighting balanced and encourage stacking, arent we now asking for the same for guards? They can still use diamonds and retal at high prs and corrs still outbuild any other ship at br of 1 greatly by like 30k pr i think compared to best missile ship.

Its not silly, its to encourage stacking and less spamming, by the means of corr spaming your asking others to missile spam which therefore leads others to spam counter missile ships and then otehrs to spam counter ships of that ... and thus we go back to pure spamming.

I end this and im done with this pointless thread.

Whats wrong with 3x Build rate? Its a good method of escaping counters .. all races have some ship/ starbase that can be spammed to outrun a counter and defend. Not like alotta ppl fight @ where courms are useful anymore ... just NAPs .. endless list of NAPs .. nyway .. im against this build rate nerf. Its silly >_>

Hmm, well of coures its going to fail on normal to tyrs, tyrs kill corundums almost 2:1 ...

The major difference is the total pr jumps and how they can be abused for fedwars. But meh, what do I know, this would mostly affect RT, not other servers as much or would it :P

Considering our base pr, nerfing the Corun is a bad idea (im a gaurd).

WE have alot more base pr than any other race. WE need to be able to build up fast enough so that the base pr we have wont make as much as a difference. (pretty much exactly what strike pointed out.

As a poor Gaurd, its even tougher for me to pull that off. I have enough money to build up to about 50mil, and and then im broke.

Corun probably should be put down to 1 a turn although i wouldnt say it made that much difference atm at 2 a turn. It allows guards to build much faster but the only real use i find for it generally is quick pr or defending against high pr angel spams on agg or normal

i was guard for a little while but i just restarted .... corrundum was almost useless for me between 750k-4 mil

nerf cor? u got to be kidding it useless unless hit bu herc on agg. crab except in 7th stack or lower

i wouldn`t mind if we had other topics beside which ship to nerf next so we could all win.

I agree with this part of ShatterdDreams post...

....so to sum it up we see to have the guard loving people saying guard is fine or has enough disadvanatages already and the build rates is the only thing they get as compensation

yep... as i said.. the guard will be sitting duck when it spam corun at high pr..

also with high base pr, it needs some ship to build fast so that it could at least have a stack with high enough pr to minimize the impact of high base once it leave dp..

for example in rt, a typical viral or terren could have less than 500k of base pr... with 45 turns, it could build a decent stack of at least 1mil pr..
for guard, typically it would have about 1 to 2 mil of base pr.. depending on the planets and research lvl, it could be much more.. what good will it do if it could only build 1 to 2 mil of pr of ship with only 45 turns. Ppl could easily crush the guard who had jus come out of dp with an extra of mil of ship.

I just want to point out that If Corundum spams attacks another spam it will mostly be a failed attacked at 130% yup. Though I know that fed war's unbalanced 200% pr affects a whole lot in the higher pr yup.

Most Single Ship Spams beats stacks anyway in any pr range

Though the unfairness comes when the Guardian is climbing quicker by far, for the counter attacks or just to secure the pr region.

nah i think its reasonable to nerf the br to 1 unit / per since everything is building around there as well yup ;

guards are ment to b the high pr race in gc therefore it makes sense that they have the only ship in the game that can climb the ranks quickly
