How do you protect your empire while you are offline? Or are you always open to attack?

hide in NP ( below 5k ) or build a fleet before you leave , defence protection lasts 24 hours , and you neednt lose any planets to get it , also exploring 3 boarders will ensure your planets safty while offline
after you are attacked, and lose a certaing percentage of you fleet, y ou get damage protection or ( dp ). It lasts for a set time depending on the server. A day or two.
