Has a big food empire been killed/vm`ed, or more taxes? cause it is farily stable at around 13-14 and im just wondering why (Not complaining i like the xtra cash =P)

yep...high food costs forced some empires to restart, others just got bored and restarted. No demand means the market will get flooded and prices will eventually drop

Me(Tax miner, the biggest consumer....1.4million a turns) restarted...so food going down
