this was easily fixed by not having the timer displayed or not having withdrawn items NOT resulting in a limited Zero timer, and simply removed instantly to eliminate exploitation of this now well known bug amongst the older players (not never used as an exploit/cheat by 99% of the people due to not knowing exactly how the market actually works).
So my solution to the market withdraw option is thus:
1:
Have the withdraw option there and instead of removing by taking the easy shortcut of dumping the time to 0 hours left till return, have it simply tag the item and instantly remove it, as a delete option so to speak. With no delay it removes the 0 time left issue and the possiblility of bug exploit as it is no longer possible.
2:
Have the option back and have it not act instantly but act on an hour delay or something like that. After an hour you get the items back, or other set amount of time, with no modification to the time remaining counter. Simply have it on a count down tag server side. Can`t be that hard to do.
3:
Have a set limit on the amount of withdrawls given option 1 or 2 above per 24 hour period. This will help limit potential abuse and allow an `easing in` time to test the waters with it.
4:
Have the withdraw option as a blanket option. You hit it and ALL your items are instantly returned or delayed and then returned,if delay then all posted items you have posted up untill that deadline are also returned. Kinda an all or nothing approach. May workbut dunno, will have same result if you have alot of stuff than not having the option at all (read: hitting max caps easier if a big empire)
5:
Mix and match the aboveto whatever works out best possibly
I did have another one that I thought was pretty good but now I have forgotten it. danged distracted brain. I blame the midgets!
Flame me allyou want for these ideas,if you do you just prove you can`t think of any yourself to counter with :P
Happy hunting
