the ideas been floating around awhile so i just wanted to make a thread about it to see what ya`ll think.

it is where the viral commercal mod is droped or just greatly lowed to push virals to either being argi or tax based.....
the idea behind it is it would make the server more balenced in terms of number of races in the sence that in order to cope with all the tax empires there would be a market for more argi terrens and collectives... it would also create a space for more cg miners to produce enough goods for all the tax virals.....

this would hopefuly change the server from being 50-70% viral to be more evened out.....

problems raised.....
existing virals with high comm inf... i think mara mentioned that a inf changed would be offered to all exsisting virals....

the only other main problem is the instant demand on the argi market by the pure volume of people going tax and that the market wouldnt be able to cope forcing tons of people to restart due food prices being to high ....

any way i personaly am in favour for this but what yall think ??

well best for viral is like i had on my privious account high commercial reaserch and capture nice guardina c2 and keep popuklation on it double income mental:P

Im thinking of changing from miner to viral. Dont know if will, but im really tempted. Im predicting almost everyone will go viral sooner or later.

EA, longer than that... u give me that advice when i just restart as a viral... should be more than 9 months ago... lol... since then i had max my agri infra research... lol... i must say i like what i have been earning... no regret taking your advice man...

twu, no, virals really wouldn`t have two sources of income, tax and strip mining. The latter is not an option once planet counts reach the point where exploration is no longer feasible.

Everyone always wants to nukes virals is some form or another. Some suggestions, like upkeep, have merits, but this one really bites and no matter how well thought out, no one can predict the real consequences.

Just remember. Cause and effect. Lets think about the effects this may have. This will jack up food prices for sure. I predict an extreme shortage of food if we did this.

the point is someone sed that if u made virals tax u would be forcing them to one income type which is unfair as other races all have at least 2

well thats rubish virals would have tax, strip mining, and agri even if it isnt the most desirable income type its still a source.......

Mac I never said they could, infact I stated that as a disadvantage.

Ask Arch if he still plays about his 300 planet agri viral empire

And strip mining IS an income style and is available to all explorable races, same with tax, agri, comm and goods.

You point is flawed

the point i was trying to raise is although atm it might be impractical to make virals tax due to not enough food on the market... can all at least see how it would benifit the game by spreading the races out more ???

it just occured to me u say that every race must have 2 income sources????

Food Viral & Tax Viral....

Food viral is understandilbe cause they can only use there own built clusters not stolen ones to produce food.... Tax empires can use every type of planet, count out U class.

SOB in turn pass i`ve only seen spamming of ships still at low powers & at higher powers...

plus viral is a growing problem on every server... just with slower servers it takes alot of time to start a viral empire on a slower server but once started they rule the same on slower servers as they do on RT...

Maybe we should make viral make goods for the server... haha one market A.miner dont seem to do to much... its either TAX which doesnt need goods or Minerials which are very easy lol...

Look, Virals are popular because they have all the good of all the races rolled into one. Good income good ships, can capture... It`s doubtful that some people would change to another race because the com mod was lowered.
