forum set up

this is just minor but personally i like to read the oldest posts firsts because people often times refer back to them, and it gets a little annoying to scroll to the bottom. Why isnt the forum set up so that you have the OP then the oldest post right below it and the second oldest post below that, like most forums are, not to mention for longer posts it works easier because you read down and so at the end of a post your eyes (yes im a little lazy but it is also slightly more efficient) have to jump up in the current set up, rather than continue to read?

you know what would be the best? a setup such as Mandrib suggested, plus a "last page" button :)

what would be easier is if newest posts were just on top of the list liek the old forums...

Here`s the reason... Let`s say a thread has 3 pages of posts... not many have that one, but there are several on the forum that are several pages. Every time you go back to that thread to read what`s been posted since your post, you`d have to click all the way to the last page every time... the way it is now, you only have to go to click pages one time... the first time you visit a thread...

as for the forum as a whole, would you like to click through 20 pages of months old posts to get to the new ones?
