UW Attempts

To ensure the game remains playable I suggest that any and all UW attempts be irreversable. At the moment any attempt can be aborted and a lot of the attempts are just to ensure no one else can work at destroying the Universe. If it was irreversable and the empire that attempted was made to restart it would stop a lot of empires just going through the motions of starting a UW and stopping it when they think they are going to lose.

It would also make the UW a real achievement should it be completed.

Too many times it is not even attempted to stop it as it`s already known by people that it is an abortive attempt.

If it couldn`t be aborted which if you set things in motion it shouldn`t be, then only serious attempts would be made.

This is not a complaint but a way to improve the quality of the attempts at setting off the UW. As it stands at the moment it`s main use is to stop others from setting it off.

That`s a good idea from PandoraLives. It would still mean a penalty for anyone who doesn`t actually complete the UW. Which is what I was trying to say. Lousy at grammatical expression that`s all.

hmm could be a penalty i guess if they didn`t succeed then they lose the 2/3rds as their fed would have done .. hmm could expand that to their whole fed probably to, would encourage people on two levels

you`d fight harder to keep it going and win, and players would work the ships to the ground trying to take them out so that the UW empire suffers instead ..

just a thought

If you make it this way then nobody will do a UW... unless they are the super old veterans yup... still would you risk you`re 100- 400 day old empire ? if you will be force to restart if you cant make it ? imagine the amount of research that will literally make the person quit if he has over 200 levels ...

Its really strategy i feel when you say to use to stop others especially when you hear athing of two about a rival fed doing one you will want to disrupt their attempt yup :-)

naaa, keep it so you can do fake UW attempts, because it makes the game more, fun, maybe change it for RT, Ultra where you have more UW`s, but for normal there hasent been a UW for age`s. :(
