Un-Reasonible Ships

we all know they are pretty bad. They are meant for Maru a poor & not very rich race. on the other hand Viral are very rich. Which has become an issue with the spamming of these cheap upkeep ships.

I was looking thro the ships. (Terran, A.miner, Guards, Maru)
Pyth & D.Angel got a one of big difference between the other ships.

Hull, Weapons, Power rating ratios nearly all equal up the same.

only other ships that are similar are Destoryers & the Guard Ruby & Tourmaline who care the same qualities as the Pyth & D.Angel except the fellowing which make Pyth & D.Angel Superior

Destoryers have heavy upkeeps & slow build rates & weak hulls but have range

Guard ships have major weakness in shields & strengths as well but for the majory they remain weak stacking wise overall. Guards normally use Queen & Fodder in fleets which are slow build rate stuff to balance out their fleets better making this race more balanced.

Pyth & D.Angel are to cheap in upkeep & also have bad design issues i think & they lack normal chacteristics of most ships with similar backgrounds

Pandy: Nawww, I am ALSO saying reduce the upkeep on other marauder ships at the same time. Their battleships should NOT be the cheap ships... other ships should cost less.

Anyone ever think viral should have a complete set of their own ships? I realize that it largely kills the purpose of the race, but you could just turn it into a chemical based race (feared by terrans, killed by guardians)

ALl really needs to be done is. like x10 the upkeep cost of reversed-eng and captured ships for maru n sh*** when captured.
If it deletes scouts that collectives capture im sure it can raise the upkeep when ships are captured.

my feelings tbh are
leave marus alone i personally beleive atm they are probably the most balenced race ... only thing i think u could alter is maybe drop angel build rate down too 2 but if u do this i would say increase the hammerhead build rate to 6 -8

i would say have virals pyth and angel upkeeps at 1/5 of there pr

underlying thing is leave marus alone change the virals with the maru ships....

and IF your only complain is about upkeep form a viral standpoint, do what you like there i don`t care they`re viral i think they`re the most uninteresting race in the entire game.

adjust it soley for them upkeep wise and leave the stats alone

well gee let me think this through, hardly any targets because you all scare people away, and oh yes we don`t have scouts.

collective got additions and additions that they probably didn`t need, so now you`re going to remove the few ships that actually do some damage to them in a stack besides neutrals.

i defy anyone here complaining about marauders to actually be one for nearly 1 k days like i`ve been on ultra, and then tell me what they think about all this.

I said that already, TWU... people keep ignoring me when I keep suggesting reduce the buildrates.

But it is not just that, pandy... I mean, yes, you are right, it sucks... but can you give me a valid reason why marauders SHOULD have a ship with virtually non existent upkeep... seriously. The reason strafez does is because they are either PURE damage or PURE hull. They only serve one purpose... fodder cannot damage, runners and queens really cannot defend.

Pyth and angels, on the other hand, are among the best ships in the game... why should they have such pointless upkeeps...

marus are a poor race XDXDXD ure funny
argi marus make more $$ per land that comm virals

i was making 800k food a turn with only 114 inf before i reset :P

its nt hard just raise pyth angel income to *5 their pr

no the ships are fine for example pyth doesnt have no retail it gets beeten easily
and angel as sweet fa for hull it dies easy to queen and any non missle destroyer attack on argo

well, there is a simple cure for spamming, one just needs to reduce the build rate of the big ships. common, why shall one build a superiour 10k buildrate ship, if he has a still very good ship with 60k up to reasonable ships with 100k build rate.

Well, i am not questioning the system, that some (here big) ships build faster than other, but the distribution of build rates is simply to broad. a general 30-40k/turn cap on build rates would be quite demotivating for spamming.....

Unfortunately if one suggests such a change, everyone thinks one wants to steal the butter of his bread.....

meh i don`t care you`ll all convince maraudian do do whatever you want at some point anyway, what pisses me off though is that people that do stack get are basically fined if anyone makes changes because there are people that will always spam, and its them that you all make the game about instead of learning to stack, ok sure a few exceptsion to that statement, and i`m not saying i dont` ever spam, i love to spam especially neutrals, so what`s next nerf queens ?

but i don`t spam as a maru, unless i get hit and dont` notice what`s leftover while i`m attacking someone else.

Yeah, okay, true. You were stacking. I was quite happy for that, too, I think that that was how I got my pikes. ^^; But most marauders spam pyth/angel for very simple reasons... one, the upkeeps are vastly lower, and two, they build way faster. Fast build should ALWAYS mean higher upkeep, NOT lower. If you want to change the upkeep on some other marauder ships, sure, fine by me... make some of the other marauder ships the lowest in upkeep, and make pyth/angel the highest.

DMM you got a point MARU are poorer. But Viral got billion & even trillions of cash.

thats the bases of this thread is D.Angel & Pyth are to cheap for viral & even cheap for Maru. Maru a 3k upkeep wouldnt hurt at all. for viral 20k shouldnt hurt either cause the power of these ships for HULL, WEAPONS, Power rating are all really high. shouldnt the upkeep be HIGH as well. god my Lyth cost me a ton

NVM i retract that statement. it should be well over 20k upkeep since it is a Dreadnaught & all other dreadnaughts in the game cost more then their POWER rating. look at manual

hope people remembers marauders cant explore , being low pr exposes us to 1 planet hunters. marauders are probable the least played race in RT. marauders are a paid race.

I stack, but then I never see you out of DP Deiloche near me, so not like I can attack you so you could see it.

Well except for around the 13 July from my battle logs, but you hit me there and I`ve no idea what either of us had both those times that day. Curse the events disappearing after 14 days.

Deiloche I strongly disagree, marauders are given two big ships with low upkeep, all their other ships are small with higher upkeep. The big ships we got are low upkeep because otherwise we cant possibly go up higher (maru tend to be poorer) and to take away that is to potentially eliminate maru from the upper power levels. At this point there are barely any maru that go above 10 mil, are you trying to reduce their numbers to 0?
