Let`s see what Terran need...

well, i dont wish to see ANY silly reply like: `Terran is balanced`, `Terran dont need anything` n so on.

so, let`s see what Terran need for now or even for future. before this, i will state all the change / improve / update for Terran since Beta v1.0 until v1.06 now.

from Beta v1.0 until v1.06, Terran had get:-

1. 2 new ships, Tyr Dreadnaught n Scorpian Starbase
2. Argiculture Modified increase to +20%
3. slightly upkeep increased on each ship especially P class, for total 4 times.
4. ships cost (minerals + credit) slightly increased for twice.

my comment for Terran in future:
1. mission need to re-write, allow player choose either Commerical or Argiculture way
2. reduce the Argiculture mod to +10%, increase Commerical mod to 20% - 30%. on other way, get rid Terran to be the mjor food supplier on market
3. no doubt, new T.Emperuer pls.
4. prehpas do something on T.Kaliuem too.
5. build rate boost on some smaller ships.
6. ship upkeep always the porblem.
7. preahps P class hull can be increased.

that`s 7 points i had think on. might post more if i recall something :P

i am fine with the updates.

but if u want change the story part to p class have 5 times the damage of their t.class counterpart and 5 times lesser hull

DM> i didnt say that Commercial Terran suk, did i? ;) i just try to push more Terran go with commerical and leave more of argiculture to Collective or even Marauder. it is also antoher way to allow Commercial Terran fight at higher pr but not just Argicutlure Terran.

species> i agree T.Kaliuem is a not bad ship. but, i dont think it is very good against on Viral, look on the shielding n the V class weapon :) change of shield on swaping the kinetic n missile will be good.

i would agree the Netrual update for F n C class. but, this thread is for Terran now :)

oh yes, i got another point now:-
8. no new ship(s) for Terran, unless other races get new ship(s) and Terran need new ship to(s) counter.

well terrans by far have a better ship collection than miners, maru`s and collective`s even virals if it werent for the fact that they got pyth and angel upkeep for more or less free still.
Giving terrans better ships i see no point in, you could argue for a slight upkeep reduction thou, it is very expensive for terrans to fight compared to all other races.

Commercial terrans are doing pretty well hiig, see kaneda and the old darkstar empire for instance, veil and gronoria on fast, infernal on slow, UberPansy and Think on normal. Pretty rich, aren`t they?

I dont know why terrans are whining, on ultra the food price rised again.....

I agree with 1-3,5 and disagree with 4 and 7, and be indifferent on 6

The big P`s should have low hull. These ships basically ALWAYS fire first, and make high damage, especially on aggressive, they make more damage than having pr, so they should be fragile, shouldnt they. And the Kaliuem has its uses especially against virals , and pls no argument like "the miner chlor is better, it cant be that a miner ship gets better than the terran counterpart, so fix it fast".

on 2. please take food prices and slavery into account.
say food costs around 8. that means that atm a farmer earns amount twice as much as a commercial terran, especially on clusters, and don`t need to bother with unenslaving, see detailed calcs for food production on another thread. if you think that such tweaks would really affect food production, then think again. heh, add a gordo`ed u.fertile into account. add major dineros into account
i`ve been playing this game for over three years on many a server now and not even once i`ve been a commercial terran (did try it once, and it sucked). even before the 1.06 mod change. if you think terrans have ever been made for commercial answer my question, have you ever played outside RT?

another thing is that a economy base change might be ok on RT, but on slower turn-based that`d mean old empires go FUBAR

Hiigarans just became my favorite Guide with this post, thank you for caring about the terrans! I agree with most points you have made and i agree that if the modifiers are changed as such it would just balance out problems we have now and we woldn`t be making massive amounts of cash

Terran can do anything they please , they can be industry if they are really messed up in the head, or mineral , although they are better for A miner obviously but still , terran can make income however they prefer , commercial being the most basic / easiest

I agree with the ag level thing. Collectives are the ones bulit to live offa agriculture and terrans are really built to live offa commercial, they should keep it that way.

I said there should be a 10 range neutral missile ship aaaages ago but no1 listened *plays mini violin*.
