Virals and Pyth/Angel

Hellus and Balzac both miss the point that several of the larger virals below have agreed with.

But wait, just to make a sharper point to those who are too lazy to read the paragraph, I checked out the top 50 Planet Holders of GCRT. There are:

27 Virals
11 Terrans
8 Miners
2 Guardians
1 Collective
1 Marauder (god bless him)

Yep, thats right, more virals than all the other races combined. Not only that, the top 7 biggest planet holders are (you guessed it) viral, except for one terran whose account has been frozen for months. Sweet!

I dont want anyone to get the idea, especially the virals who have responded. I think you virals use marauder ships so much that you essentially abuse the ship that was created for a poorer race. Marauders only really have Angels and Pyth to use way up high, which is why their upkeep is low and they are pretty good ships overall. Since virals rev them though, they are simply used all the time. Virals like to make borelly pyth angel spams because they are not only cheap but pretty powerful to the other races. As a nice add on, the virals also have hercules and chiron at their disposal. This effectively destroys the marauder`s ability in the high power ranges. The only two ships we have, the virals also have exactly the same. Not only do the virals have our two high ships, they can also switch in their borelly, herc or chiron. Marauders NEED these two ships to go anywhere up high in power, Virals clearly do not and its become ridiculous. SpartanDream himself said he spent only 30 bil cred on going to 700 mil power by using angel and pyth spam. This is shameless as it destroys the old marauder reputation and lowers it to a mere bottom feeder. The solution? Either modify the upkeep on these ships to be similar to the M. Lyth when used by virals, or make them impossible to reverse engineer. Virals can deal with, im sure, having Pikes Tigers and Hammerheads. Being a marauder for a very long time (longer than my empire age suggests) I can tell you that since the introduction of viral, and more recently, our race is becoming scarce or weak. Its not all that hard to beat my butt up at 10 million power, and i think thats probably why a lot of virals sit pretty up there not hitting eachother, but when I rise I get whacked :(

As much as I love maru, the only way I can fight up high is by going viral. After all if I change to viral, ill still have my two favorite maru ships just the same :)
