Mineral bot - Discussion

but is there really a need for bots to do the jobs of aminers? i mean cant we just form a really huge aminer federation and collect minerals like that? and that federation could be neutral and all they do is collect minerals or something like that.

At least the bot posts the minerals at MAX prices, leaving some space for the REAL miners to sell minerals :P

lightspeed: The problem is that there are barely any Miners out there making enough minerals. Yes I know you`ve heard it a million times but its the truth. Miners were supposed to supply Cg`s and Minerals to the market. Dut theres never enough of both. Why? Cause miners suc.k. Sure they get money but they can`t battle to save their lives. And the result is there are barely any. To solve it just make the Miner ships somewhat like the Terrans but a little weaker. To compensate just reduce their income. This way there will be more player making more Minerals. So there won`t be the kind of shortage there is now. And since their income is reduced they won`t be unstopable.

The reason I said they don`t care is because, from my point of veiw, it seems like they don`t. To change the numbers would take minutes. And after a bit of testing to figure the right balance. This would take only take a few days-weeks. Its been mentioned time and time again yet it seems that nobody cares.

So a bot was introduced. So now besides the money theres no point in going A.Miner. So why have minerals at all since they will be a given from now on? Why don`t we just pretend it never happened huh? Its easy to fix but I have yet to see some action on it. Besides the bot.

Maybe a large black hole will come out of no where and destroy the entire server... then KZ will come and blow up whatever is left

Maybe Kalzul will bring about a UW.

its nice being able to buy minerials as a person restarting but i dont think we should have a bot giving out minerials... i think A.miner should do there job but heck who wants to be A.miner anymore.... plus it is hard to attract newbies to GC now in days... nice to keep the market full when they come in

one word on why people hord minerals , artifacts Major dinero. thay can take your money but not your minerals.

i agree with caps on how much of what money you can have should be incressed 100 fold no one is going to actually stockpile money just to control market but it makes it easyer to by and sell for higher pr people

tho this bod isnt the perfect solution (it lowers demand)
miners will still make enough moneytho it will be slightly slower its alot better then the lacking of minerals thus no new players...
so stop complaining about it

Just wanted to add they could do something like increasing the max credit cap. I hit that mark months ago and so then what do I do with my minerals? I actually gave them away all the time, posted numerous times at 0 price.

The remark that it doesn`t affect miners, well I think in te long run it will, especially the new guys. Sure you can post at 999, but it is goin to mess with the whole supply and demand rule. People are going to need less and less as they slowly stock up, and the miners who do get their income from selling them are going to be getting more of their stock returned.

Ares, if i may ask your smart being without offending your intelligence, what might that "root of the problem" be, huh? it seems to me that the game is doing very well, but they have to use a bot now and then to keep people playing because the vast majority of players don`t care about playing this game like it should be played. and setting a bot in fact does show that the admins care about this game, not at all as you say. if they didn`t care, they would let older players like me get bored and leave without doing anything. i find this measure quite appropriate. but then again, if you know what the "root of the problem" is, why don`t you share it with us, maybe we can find a way to fix it together ;)

nice thing, for player who want to play collective and maru(few ships need mineral) and guardian...they dont have alots of cash at start(guardian strip mine but still) the other 2 need mineral...and when there`s miner...they dont post...we CANT count on a simple race to fill up the whole server every day...think abuot it...the only way to let them make alots of mineral to fill it up...is to make the % alots bigger....so good add again

Honestly, SnakeS, why dont you just restart, oh, that`s right, you dont want to. You ARE aminer, a 978 day old one at that. You hide out in VM and do NOT help the game at all. Then you DARE come on here and whinge and whine that nothings being done about the game. Why dont you get off that high horse and start doing something for the game. Honestly, you are NOT helping.

I can tell you now people, this is the SAME batch of people whining about KZ as they did one time before when it did a mineral dump, infact they have whined about KZ since KZ was implimented. Aminers are NOT affected by the bot, there is nothing stopping you from selling your minerals for 1 less than max.

Now, before some of you start, yes I am Aminer on RT, and while I am in VM right now due to RL issues, I have been doing my part for RT. So dont try and come in here saying I havent.

AssassinatorS: GC`s been going downhill for a long time now. And the fact that their using a bot to fix the problem just shows that nobody cares about GC. If they did they would fix the root of the problem. And as Forest Gump would say-"Thats all I have to say about that."

i play gc becuase of the challaging it contain, uc is too easy, anyway i changed race

I disagree that minerals are the only source of the problem. If you want to see another problem, its that GC is no longer advertised. Where most players voted for a STC when they logged in, they can no longer do this, and so less people even join the game, prefering the advertised UC thats as easy as heck to play and gives a quick fix to the days emotions. Many people just cant handle the pressure of GC, and that it requires much more patience and dedication. Also if the new players just asked, they`d find an awful large amount of players who are willing to help or even train players up. Yes, the mineral bot is a quick fix for pros to load up so that dineros dont make much of a dint on them. but seeing as i just went miner, im not happy that my trade is now gunna be undercut. But if it make people fight, i say keep it on all the time :)

i`m all in favor of this bot. i was getting tired of waiting for resources. i didn`t have any minerals to build ships. i was fed up. now it`s better :) and, as it has already been said before, a.miners can just post their minerals at 999 price. does that affect your income so much? remember that the market is a place to earn an EXTRA income, that is something complementary to your income, you shouldn`t RELY on the market for income (yes, you get a lot of money from taxes, in case you don`t know that yet!!!) this is why posting stuff doesn`t work instantly, for example (yes, it could, but it`s not to be wanted, and for a good reason too). so all`yall a.miners just shhh.... this game is struggling to be kept alive and you guys think it`s a setback. yes, it is a setback for those greedy a.miners that have a lot of minerals but wouldn`t share (sorry guys, but try fighting, not starving people). and... a.miner ships are not as weak as you think. yes, you can`t be the leader playing a.miner, but i played a.miner and i have to say that the ships are not so bad, it`s just more difficult to play well with them (but it is possible, i know a.miner that are very good fighters), and that`s because of the money compensation. so for all a.miners that don`t like this bot, try improving your fighting skills (note again that it CAN be done) and stop whining about not being able to starve and bore other players!

Mineral bot won`t solve the problem. Its just masking it up. If you want to fix it for good fiw the A.Miner ships. More people will play and hopefully, will go Mineral Miner. Its really a shame that nobody bothers to fix the game. But alas, I can do nothing.
