Almost had him. Was a bit sloppy, though :(. I had the right number of hercs for the first attack, but I clicked the second attack button before I clicked the disband 8 hercs button. I think it also wasn`t on careful, but that`s beside the point. I should have had 8 fewer herc :( then my 3rd attack would have taken him!

read carefully:
- an empire losses a minimum of 50% of more of his fleet in a !!!SINGLE!!! battle

so it is obvious, that my second strike pushed Anfit into DP.
@Game-Guides:
I spend much time reading the manual, but where is the xing statement about cumulative damage gained since last DP?

2.3 Damage protection
Empires which have suffered a huge amount of losses automatically falls in to damage
protection. While in damage protection, no other empire can attack this empire. This
happens when:-
- an empire losses 3 or more colonies
- an empire losses a minimum of 50% of more of his fleet in a single battle
Only defending empires can fall into damage protection, it can even happen when the
defending empire wins a battle but has lost 50% or more of it`s fleet.
Protection lasts for 24 or 48 hours until the player builds any offensive ships or attacks
someone. All protection restrictions vary depending on the status of the galaxy. For
example damage protection is turned off during galaxy wide events such as `galaxy crisis`
for certain parties. Starbases and scouts are not considered offensive ships and do not
remove damage protection.

Utopia: He has to already be below 500k when you hit him the 2nd time. So he`s going to try to put just enough power into his fleet so that if your 1st attack puts him under 500K he`ll get DP.

hey, peoplez, I just attacked twice pushing him below 500.000 without DP beeing activated,
but the last strike did someone else.
How did it?
Did you failed?
Why isnt`t it comes to am end?

why just dont use few historyas and than don t let him use STCs(with kho shield).

Avoidcxt: he must be defeated when he is below 500,000 power or else he must sustain an attack on his homeworld - that`s why he keeps exploring.

Artifacts can work but you must overcome all the UW supporters.

Okay, So I wiped out his fleet and took no losses, but apparently the crisis is still on? Moreover, Anfit seems quite unphased by the attack, he`s already back up to 850k pr. So, how is the crisis stopped if attacking is useless?
