I think there should be an scout that has some wepons, more hull, and less scanner rating. It would take you out of DP, maing one I mean. I don`t want to replace scouts, just make a new one.

you can escort your scouts with other ships, or if you want a defence force and dont leave dp (whatever the purpose is), you can scann with sbs. So what shall this proposed ship make better?

Well, this would have better scanner, so it would be better for scouting, but could actually do something if you`re attacked.

As i said on the strategy forum i dont think this is necessary because pretty much all ships have so scanner rating this means that you can explore in the same way although you will need much more. Alternatively you have sbs which often have a decent amount of scanner as well as defending although they cant be used to attack.
