Reset Viral ShipList

Are we talking about a forced reset that would require virals to capture and reverse engineer their ships again?

I agree with species there, virals dont need a ship list reset.

Before we rest the ship list i say we cut the uild rate for angels ad pyths.

I oppose the reset of viral ship lists.

- It is prob a major source of buggyness, if stepehn will invest the time at all.

- Further common, even if virals have re`ed the miner g-class, lets be honest. about >>70% of all virals basically entirely rely on the Pyth and angles, these do more dammage, have a higher build rate than the livid, less building costs (minerals cost also a thing) and a hellofalot less upkeep that the g.class. And the last 30% of the virals arround use the miner ships mostly for the lower stacks to have some high-buildrate ships to complete the balanced stack.

- Further, i dont see, what has changed so much. A typical high-pr fighting viral will still Re Herc, nirv, tyr, pyth, angle, flysh and lyth. So we are effectively talking about two ships. Well, one can discuss., if one swaps the pike with a now upgrated d.class, and well, what to pick from miners, with that huge selection of excelent ships that choice was already a problem before the update....

So the bottom line is, there is (currently) not realy a need for the reset.

So the plan was zap all of our reverse engineered ship and have us start over with the process?

Probably a few more than the virals who would die of that idea.

just give us a week to take ships we dont want RE then leave it to us to catch the ships we want..just do the reset..

TheShadow, Plunder collective make negative income at base pr. There`s no point in making colls keep captured ships. Wonders how many collectives would die because of that idea.

Ishmael if GC restarted, half th eplayers would qyit. Imagine if you had maxed out your infra reseerach and then a restart happens. Well thats only a year down the drain.

This includes Collectives because they can caputer ships. I mean that wouldn`t be fair if collectives can disband captured ships and virals can`t.

viral`s should not be allowed to disband! they should have to keep every ship they capture it will reduce the amount of activity with viral`s because they wilil capture ships they can not afford to keep. this is fair, why else allow them to have capture able ships?

I agree, it should simply be removed. However, a replacement has to be provided without need of capturing it. After all, the empire that already has that ship has more than likely seen every other ship, and may be a high PR player... it is certainly not fair to expect them to acquire a new ship. That is the job of NEW empires.

Just take the G class out... I hardly think it`s key to most virals strategies -.-

Neither of those are fair... your second assumes that they can actually keep said ships that they built through the removal.

FAIR is what DrunkenMasters said. Remove the ships, then allow everybody to pick again.
