Ehhh, maraudian? I was talking about the FORMER build rates. The new rates are great.

I think the MOW should be destroyed, but that`s because collective shouldn`t have a starbase.

And holy wow, that is probably the single smartest thing I`ve ever seen zenith say. o.O The first paragraph, anyway.

collective wont be getting build rates , that will always be collectives weakness

if you want build rates , you have neutral and special or different race`s to choose from

although they have been increased a small amount thats just because the old build rates were a little too low

We didn`t really need mow or brig, we needed build rates. Well, brig isn`t exactly best missile ship ever, shoulda given us a good all-missile ship or something, not a chem damager. Chemical damage ~ very powerful. And mow is more of a defense ship, it`s missile damage is far too low to be of any major use, other than the fact that it kills some ships to equal the PR that it lost so it wins overall.

I had a good missile ship that`s far less powerful than mow or brig, and then people (well, mostly abadayos) nerf it to hell, even though the hypothetical situation it was in involved taking away mow and brig. No defense is fine, but then it`s not a great ship. More hull, more chem shield so it can kill borrs, chirons. It`s a new type of ship, weak to itself... da.mn, I`m ranting.

"all of the other races"... the problem with collective wasn`t that their ships were underpowered, it was one that they lacked missile and two that they lacked buildrate. The race itself was awesome. You want to look at underpowered ships, you looked no further than the g.lictor. While the updates helped a little bit, the real problems with a.miners were not addressed.

but then you have to remember that all other races have extremely overpowered ships for ages now, aint it time that collective had something to pay people back? :P and at least it aint an aggressive attacking ship... now that would be a worry!

and to be exact once a collective mow spam goes above 400k it bcomes impossible for A miner to beat it within the 130%

although really destroying the mow would suck , increasing its power rating would be a suitable suggestion for it me thinks as thats whats causing the problem

Maraudian, i agree, that you are right that you actually can win against mow, however, therefore you need to use rounding effects. If you have a single ship, which does not get destroyed by the mow, but you destroy something, you can win. However, this works only for tiny stack, so it is NOT a very practical way for empires with more than 10 planets, i.e., virtually worthless.

If you consider that a fairly large amount of ships attacks an even larger amount of mows, then this rounding effects disapear and so does your chance to win against a mow.... if 15 M.Lyth hit 1000 mows, the lyth gets beaten up on agro, normal and carefull.

just to reply the thread, i lose a bttale on a MOW spam before.

i m using 8 balanced Terran stack, attack form 129% with aggresive. BUT i lose, lmao... i should the batle even on MSN to Zenith, GCLO n other players before. they laugh at me :(

mows didn`t do enough damage... the battlesim agrees with your battle, maraudian. If you attacked aggressive.

The important part is that if you use more than 1 lyth (say 30 or so) against even number of mows, the lyth loses.

i know but still , dont want players thinking they can make test accounts or arange battles =/

and for the record that battle was monitered by numerous staff and only staff are allowed to do it under moderation , it was done in an actual combat in gc slow , not through use of any kind of sim

arog and all your lesser stacking ships would most likely flop , so i havent even compared them but well , ive wasted more than enough time giving you proof you have ships that can win from not just 130% but from around 80-90% regardles to your sims information.

G lictor on agro should also be able to win from a fair amount below

2nd ship i looked at was the flysch , that basicly looks like it would flop so i wont bother , but G livid(r) also looks like it could win

would fail on agro or carefull , but win on normal

1st ship i looked at to prove my theory is the the M lyth, i believe it can beat MoW on agro from below its power rating , 1 lyth of 33k powerish should be able to take on about 100 MoW ( around 40k power ) on agressive without dying , this is enough to beat MoW

Obviously it is not to hard to dismantel a stand-alone mow spam. The spam against spam szenario is NOT to be taken to serious, it is just a reference for the ship strength.

And attacking a st.upid spam by an adapted balanced stack, and getting only one colony out of it is not really something you should call "good gameplay"
