ShatterdDreams i do it with my little brother... he didnt mind... i just later found out he also liked how my AUTO passwords got him into other sites that are not of his AGE.... had to password everything again...

he can still got on... but if the server refreshs i have to hit him back online again. plus i hate typing in a password each time but heck its a safty net

the problem is, that i dont see a way to detect such a 2-player empire, and what you can not detect is rather hard to sanctify...

What is not cheating

- More than 1 person taking turns playing the empire who has activated the Overmind Project (blowing up the server), if they were to camp together in the same physical location for 48 hours using the same PC.

as for me making rules up i see numerous parts of the rules saying just because youve found a loophole or its not on the list , doesnt mean we cant action it

however there are also rules like " Logging into other players for personal gain " that can also be used here

if somebody is to log into your account ( apart from UW that stephen himself has allowed under certain conditions above ) they are not allowed to do anything on your empire other than set vacation mode.

there are numerous reasons for it and many rules to cover it

well, if 2+ people in one house form one ip play one empire, how can you catch them? One could monitor, how long people are sleeping..... and even from different ip's its quite hard to distinguish between one guy playing from home+work and 2 guys.... so basically, one should allow the playing of one empire by more people.

Common, that is way less diabolic than one player having two empires.....

Plus, he can IM while he`s doing it, so he won`t get bored that way.
You could punish your kid... tell him to do 450 turns (RT) of infra research and think about it.... =P

Try getting your kid to click even for 15 minutes and he`ll know what boring really means. Unless you tell him that for every 1 level of infra he gets a toy of his choice.

hell, i just took my time and read all the "house rules" with appendixes. i see NO place where it says it`s illigal for two people to play the same empire from the same IP. okay, it`s kind of boring, but why the hell no?
not that anyone would ever find out, i bet i often spend more time online than any normal family ever would, one after another (20h a day at times, beat that), but ... hey, Maraudian, don`t make up new, lame and unenforcable rules... ><

Maraudian... just out of curiousity... for example...

IF there are 2 ppl (let`s say A & B) in 1 house and playing on 1 pc with a single empire... "A" would prefer maintain the empire, digging most of the time and attacking once awhile frm 2pm-10pm... while "B" will play whenever "A" isn`t playing, probably 10pm onwards... and all this, while only 1 empire on that particular pc frm day one...

so what`s the verdict? is it legal OR it isn`t?

personally, i don`t see it`s illegal... but hey... i`m just a newbie player... so i`m curious what will the GMAs do in this scenario... :/

UW`s have there own set of rules , 2 people playing 1 account is against the game rules , UW has an exception as anfit pointed out

nah, AGM, the yellow light is way too annoying... And about 2 people on 1 pc, you can never prove someone is doing that, can`t you?

I think it is more people not reading pms at all than not answering them but i could be wrong

Maraudian. from the same computer? i do remember some entry on "squatting" UWs and such..., hell most of the UWs i know involved a friend or a relative coming over to help, say, Cascones` dad

well... no one is forcing anyone to answer their PMs... but in this game, IF you don`t answer certain PM/s promptly... oh well... good luck on having a field day explaining to the GMAs... lol...
