How come my research always says "halfway done" even though I used as many turns as it took to bring my housing up to the next level...
and when I cancell it, to research something else...
(because otherwise im just sitting there doing nothing)
My researched level stays the same but it says its cancelling...
and if I leave it sitting there at "half way though" it never changes...never goes up or down...and never seems to complete..
It said I need 21 turns to hit level 7....so I used 21 turns...
but it never finishes...

HELP!!! I like this game -- but i need to understand it before I pay for it

yes , when you research ships if you switch to another before your through you will lose any turns investment you may have in it and it will say that if you hit cancel, but on infastructure research you can go back and pick up where you left off

so when I move to another research topic, and it says Im cancelling it, Im nbot really?

there are 255 lvls of infastructure research , half way done is its way of saying keep going. when you have done all of it it will say ; You have reached the maximum infrastructure research level !. so when you spent the 21 turns you got the next lvl from it but theres more to do.
