hey guys im a newbie and on the mission where u need to get 10,000 power points.......can some1 tell me an easy way to get power points??

You gain power points (also know as Power Rating or PR) in several ways. The quickest and easiest way to increase your Pr is to build ships. NOTE : Building ships when you are above 5000 PR brings you out of damage protection which means other people can attack you and possible take your planets...
Other things that contribute to PR : Infrastructure ( 1 PR each), Planets (1000 PR each), and Population (1 PR for every 10 people)
