I believe a glich has wiped out all mu cahs and taken me form 260 million in credit to 900m in debt.

I had an income of $260M in credit. I had an income of $2M per turn, and a significant fleet costing me $4M per turn (i.e. was loosing $2M per turn).

I bought 400 Flysch battle ships at a cost of 26M. This took 100 turns and my fleet upkeep rose from 4M to $6M by the 100th turn. Thats an average of $3M cost per turn

Before interest is factored in I would have a deficit income of 260-26-300 = -66M.

HOWEVER...after the ship build I had -910M.

I dont see how thats posssible, even with interest rates beyond 1000%.

I have since sold (and am selling all my stored minerals food etc..but even then I will still have a deficit of between $300M), and therfore am banrupt.

I concede I may have made an error in my math, BUT I dont think so..I am assuming this is a bug or clich in the system Please advise I have spent alot of time building this empire and dont want to just throw it away, especially if its thru no fault of my own. IF I made a mistake, I accept the consequences, but would like to understand what I did wrong. I certainly could afford a debt of 100M..but 900M is well beyond my reasoning ..please respond, as I i have sent several messages in last 20 hours

there is more than one error... you also missed out the per turn loss that you were making

260 - (2*100) - (6*100) - 26 = 260 - 200 - 600 = -540 + interest

Interest is 30% per turn IIRC
-540*1.3^100=1.34*10^11

hmm theoretically you reached aprox 1*10^8 times max debt...

I`m afraid it`s no error milios :(

When you build ships it`s not the average upkeep you have to pay for, you pay the eventual upkeep times the amount of turns to build the ships. In you case this ment 600 milion total upkeep ($6*100), putting you in your debt when considering interest had to be paid aswell.

Good thing is that your debt isn`t impossible to overcome, there are artifacts to decrease your debt. The major dinero will decrease it by 3% every time, dineros are better to use before you sell all your stuff on the market. Though i think that`s too late now, just ask your friends in the game to help you :)
