How do i enter the fighting?

Get some cash and minerals, then build ships and click your attack button on the left of your screen, then search for some targets and then attack them.

Dp...i think that is as specific as u can get....look fighting is easy....just build a ship and attack repeatedly until u die or have no planets...especially on gc rt....fighting with a 20k c2 on ur borders increases ur chances of fighting by 200%....no joke....just do it :P

Basically be a bit more specific
