shadowphoenix, no one knows, they all have thier preferred staks which may or may not work so long as you go with something nice and balanced you win more often than not even againts those who spam, the best way to learn is to attack as often as you can and defend as often as you can, and get a feel for how others tend to stak then build against them either through a offensive stack and attakc them more, or a defnsive stack and sit so close to them in pr that they get scared and just attack you because you are their and if you do that well lose when they attack you, which can be pretty fun actually.

either way recommended the more you fight observe and figure out on your own the better able you are to take tyhat experience into playing other races if you choose to later.

try even stacks they defend well against spams especially when you are a terran

if your first stack (or row) is totalled at 45,000pr
make the next stack 44,500pr
one after 44,000pr and so one
make them different ships
get a feel for who and what races attack and what ships they use, then look in the manual Manual

Stacking is Where you build ships and order the ships around so they go in a certain order there are variations of stacking in this game. (one stack = one type of ship(s), you can\`t have to difrent tacks of the same ship in most cases)

Balanced stacking: Where the power of each stack of ships is almost the same as the other stacks I.e.

Stack A Power = 1000
Stack B power = 999

The power determines what stack goes on top. The higher power the stack is the further up the stack list it will be

Half spamming/stacking: SPam is a general word for top heavy stacks but this is a \`half\` stack/spam so half is equal power *or as near to equal as you can get then the rest is \`dummy ships\` that take the attack of you\`re enemy. i.e.

Stack b =999
Stack c =998
Stack d =997
Stack e =996

A dummy can be any ship but it is usually one unit of strafez (small runner,fodder/ large runner,fodder)or some smaller powered ship

Spamming: this is where you put all of you\`re power into the top 3 stacks or so. i.e.

Stack c=999998
