How about a "create your own race" with a program that would balance the good and bad bonuses for a balanced race. Your custom race, imagine. for paid of course. ;-)

I would (consider) getin off my lazy butt and doin a UW if i got to be D.Maru lol... but yeh would take alot of rebalancing, and i really dont see stephen implementing new races...

well naturally if D maru or kalzul were to become playable , they would be completely different to what youve seen

kalzul wont have free upkeep ships
kalzul wont have super sexed up ships , they would be editted to balanced ships
kalzul would get neutral / special
kalzul would get very hard form of income / playstyle yet be profitable in combat like
Gaurdian but well , better.

and yar only empires that set of an UW , so there would be few.

and just a point to TWU , this idea would make those rich empires balance the game out by blowing up the server to become one of these races , while the races arnt godlike they will be rare , probably famous , infamous and so on , its a fairly nice balanced idea in general , although wild and hard work

now how many that have set off a uw are still around and how many can do it without having to play for 3 years. I think Dark Marauder should be for those that finish all missions and UW. That way there can be two different paths.

Um, a benefit for paid players could be a slight hike in build rate (e.g. +15% rounded down) ... ...

Kalzul should never be played, Dark Maru should be for future UW winners only.

Kalzul is and forever shld be a "bot", as for a start it is an uber guard, and reworking mods and pr`s wld be a pain

Drak Maru;s WAS designed for UW WINNERS, this was planned over a year ago at least, i heard even the ships designs were drawn up but .. someone *cough, didn;t want to bother with introducing a new race ?

I always thought this wld be a neat idea, as to be honest the reward for a UW atm, is pretty rubbish,cngratulations you WIN!, now restart, lose cols, money,research, minerals.. repeat ? LOL

To play as any paid race after some empires put over a year of work into an empire, provided 48 hrs entertainment, showing skill and teamwork (hopefully) is pretty lame

Winners shld get a decent prize ;)

yeah, let them be an award for the ones that have set off UW`s in the past...not just for anyone that has the money to pay for them. that would more then anything bring an imbalance to the game, since lots of ppl would pay to play them :\ besides, theres nothing changed in the manual about the Dmarus, so whats the big deal with them? no one really knows what stephen has planned for them now do we?

hmm both race could be " editted " not only in income but shipwise and given research paths ect.

although frankly ide like them to be for UW users , not paid acounts
