rewarding and tribute

i have tried to reward my slave empires, but i cant seem to do it and also the tribute that i earn every tearn doesnt go into my tribute store, i have read the help link on how to do this but i cant

You can only reward slaves with the money that is in your tribute reserve. The only way to get money into your tribute reserve is from the tribute your slaves pay to you. And you only get tribute from your slaves when they use turns and have a positive income. If your slave isn`t using turns or have a negative per turn income then you don`t get any tribute.
