Money Making as a Miner

Im very unfamliar with money making as a miner on gc. (Im very used to miners on uc)..

1: Is minng a quick way to make tons of cash as it is on uc?

2: Is industry an effecitve income

3: Can tax be an effective income?

4: Whats the best way as a miner to do mining? Should i simply expore 3 extra planets (beisdes my home planet) and strip off the ore, and then plunder them?

any tips are aprreciatted as i am a huge newb on gc, so i really have no clue what im doing... ( i played like 3 years ago back in the day, when Area51, Cloud CIty, and larrdog played, but then quit and about a year and a half later played Uc.. so i pretty much have forgotten how to play gc in the slightest....)
