Elemental UW GC-Fast

meaning no offense to elemental he did a good job but i think it would be a bigger deal had this not been a follow up UW.....Plus another UW would have ruined me so I`m glad to keep the 1/10 of what i started with I have now.....

By the way, I want to restart as Marauder but the system won`t let me...not-smart bugs.

Hello everyone! I had been thinking about restarting or quitting out of sheer boredom for a really long time (yeah it gets boring after a while sitting around with d.angels and strafez). Also, I`m starting my internship in a few days, so I`ll have even less time to play. And I also want more of a challenge :)

My decision to launch the UW was completely spur-of-the moment. Halfway into Deiloche`s UW I thought to myself "I better do this during winter break otherwise I`ll have to wait until summer," so I did. I started building with 42 BTC`s, and before I finished building, I had the most cash on the server (Gronoria usually takes that spot, hehe). My fleet was incomplete (not enough v.borrely) but I went on anyway.

Random statistics: Total attacks: 134. Wins: 134, Losses: 0. BTC`s used on me: 73. Historias used on me: 48. Hours of sleep: not enough.

The only "Oh my, there might be a problem" moment came 5 hours before the server crash, when Gilead, Flamingsnowman, and Donster attacked while I was asleep and my supporters weren`t around. Good planning, I`m impressed. :) When my supporters and I woke up, the window of opportunity disappeared.

Anyway, I`d like to thank my fedmates at DoTV, especially those who kept me awake in the chatroom: Android, Atronite, Balzac, DarckKnight, Deiloche, Katuga, Quaint, Vannyr, Vlimperio, and those others who I only have MSN name.

And Stephen, please fix the server and put some time into GC before everyone leaves in sheer frustration.

he won`t do anything because it`s too long after the UW that he found out (read: that he woke up to look at it :P), that has to do with server back-ups etc. he simply couldn`t reverse server to just before the bang

anyway Elemental is in the winners list, shame resources weren`t taken away, but hey it was fun and he did make it :-)

how completly unsurprising that he screws up with his `fix`..... I wonder how long it will take before he does anything now (and if he does it right, maybe I can convince him that during the UW Elemental was in BoE :P).... as he hasn`t looked at GC in ages.....

this happened during bip`s uw, stephen then showed up and made the uw happen BUT he also took 90% of the supporting fed`s resources of course

Yea, this bites big time. Elemental deserves much better than this - it`s not like Stephen did have advance notice - like maybe 48 hours...

Elemental: this is completly unfair..... you did a very good job and deserve to blow up the server....

*but as long as the snow hasn`t melted, Gilead will join Snowman in the snowball fight, tosses a snowball at FSM and seeks refuge in this Iglo :P

i congratulate elemental and all the people who supported him in his UW. they did an amazing job. so sad to see a bug like this ruin one of the best parts of the game. Stephen needs to fix it. (i do like having my money for a bit longer though :P)

He should get credit though...

This is a bug pure and simple. This didn`t happen when MK did 3 UWs in a row (including the first successful collective UW in GC history). No reason why this should have happened. The fact that stephen has yet to fix this is an embarrassment.

And no, there isn`t a limit to the UWs you can do in a certain time period, because if there were, Elemental wouldn`t have been able to attempt it in the first place.

heh heh, a "Me Too" UW, by a viral no less.. this couldn`t have happened to a more deserving empire...
(I am sure it will go through, but I am enjoying the sweating he must be going through.)

OK, I admit it. This stinks worse than actually getting the UW. Atronite, I`m beginning to understand what you`ve been saying in those PMs...

Much as i hate UWs, this isn`t fair to Elemental.

Unless... Are we sure there isn`t some kind of limit to how soon after a successful UW that you can build another one? That might explain it... Darwin, do you mean this has happened before?

Elemental won fair and square, if this is a bug he deserves to see us blasted retroactively. I hate that, but I have to admit it`s only fair.
