hence why you should just make a nice defencive stack that will have high chances of defending other stacks of many races
Like Maraudian pointed out, attacking virals is alot of luck. If you guess their stacks wrong, you`ll usually lose, and if you do manage to pull of a win when you`ve guessed incorrectly, chances are you`ll suffer heavy losses. This is the advantage to being Viral and why they are so hard to beat.

although common ships they will capture can include the following, herc tyr, pyth, lyth(not used a lot) and when they are activly moving around and attacking chances are they wont have chirons, and they usually have borrely`s in there somewhere
they use borrellies most when starting out and capturing ships, so if you are defending against a low power and low empire age viral, stack against borrelly spam, but make sure you got other stuff, they could have already captured some of their favorite ships

their is no fleet to beat a viral
viral can have 9 random ships from 3 races ( terran / A miner / Marauder ) along with nuetral / soecial and V class
they could use anything at all , you just have to make a nice reasonably balanced stack and pray , perhaps play durty and use some historia when he/she comes out and smack him/her with a stack + fed bonus or something
its best defending Vs a viral though and unfortunitly nobody can give you a stack to beat a viral because nobody can know what they will use
