Starcraft roots?

I was wondering if this game has roots in the PC game Starcraft, I wonder this because
A: The Terrans are a Starcraft race.
and
B: The Overmind is wat controls another race in Starcraft, and there is the Kal Zul overmind here.

So, any1 got an answer?

I rather imagine that this game has roots in starcraft... terrans, guardians (protoss), collective/viral (zerg)... of course, collective and viral aren`t overwhelming numbers of small, weak ships like the zerg are universally weak, however the assimilation is precisely how the zerg race evolved... and I`d say that the KalZul is most DEFINITELY the XelNaga.

And for the record... I won`t compare starcraft to any of the previous warcrafts, but starcraft rapes the hell out of Warcraft III.

Warcraft owns starcraft tbh but starcraft has roots in this game

No no, you got it wrong. See, Starcraft has roots in this game, it`s the other way round.

And the people who say otherwise are borr spammers. Are YOU a borr spammer?

*Zenith looks around suspiciously

No. Terran is a universal term used to describe humans in alot of Sci Fi. And as for the overmind project, hell, Lots of things have had overmind projects.
