chmm i agree with cutter. if he talks about colonies page then it is like this:
red letters (numbers i think) shows, that in this specific colony something not good (if land is red, then it is too small, if ore red, then it is small quantity, if populations or loyality red, it means it does not pay you much) neutral symbols means that everything is normal, but could be better. green means everything good.
usualy red colonies eare plundered or becomes border planets :)

throughout game regardless of where they appear, red = danger or caution check this see what`s going on/

green = active or good, doing well keep going.

white = neutral, generally listing items.

I think he could be refering to the list colonies page, where some stats can be red, green or white.

i assume by red and green letter you are referring to battle logs

A red log shows you have lost the battle

And a green log shows you have won a battle

neutral letters are just letters though dude ;)
