get 10x his power. Declare independence. Dont worry about punishment only kills ur loyalty. u can get it back in no time. once u declare independence. wait for him to come out of dp and hunt his @$5
Or ask him to free you. or restart. Or ignore it. Only 10% ur income unless u make lots and lots of money per turn.

If you`re a market goods race, for example Agriculture or Mining based, having a good lord that can send a lot of reinforcements is a good deal.

If you are a new player, being enslaved can be a good thing. Instead of trying to become independent, talk to your master and see if you can work out a deal that benifits both of you. Remind him/her that the more you grow and prosper, the more money he/she makes.

Phell.. you can also get enslaved by another person, in addition to what Darkshot said.

Getting a job is a good place to start...

Build starbases in DP > get 10x his PR > declare independence

You can`t attack your master, to declare independence you must either:

1. Get 10x his power rating, then go to Slave Empires -> Declare Independence
2. Ask him to free you
3. You or him restart
