well 1stly you must be logged in , or you wouldnt be able to post. so thats sorted :)
and i suggest you do the missions located in the top left corner , not only will these teach you how to play , they will give you a storyline and set you up with a balanced empire. you can also find help links throughout the game on almost everything you can do, so if your stuck browse for them.
