I would like to take a moment and go over a few little aspects of this game that seem to have been misunderstood, or not followed, or simply ignored.
Firstly, the role of the various levels of game staff have gotten a bit cloudy, as some staff do things they wouldnt normally do, or the game population misunderstands a staff memeber`s role.
The game has a vague explanation of staff roles but unfortunately it focuses primarily on the Game Guide, and what one must do to become one. The second URL will take you to that page.
So the Guide, wrapped in all its ambiguity, has the following role: Answer questions in chat and forum. That, and nothing else beyond being online. Now what answers are allowed? Well, going back years and years, these are typically gameplay questions and have nothing at all to do with admin level items, such as the topic of this thread.
That said, a few of us have gone above and beyond at times, always to help take the load off Admins and help reassure and sooth the game population. Unfortunately, this is not the role of the Guide. The Guide helps guide players through the game. They typically do not have powers such as Silence. That role is reserved for Admins and...
Moderators are a step above Guide. They typically fill a Guide role if one is not present, but also have forum and chat powers. They can edit thread posts, and silence ne`erdowells. They are those who enforce the game rules. This brings us to...
Admins. By now you should all be aware of what an Admin can do. Not all Admins can do all things. BadWolf is basically God in this game and can do anything she wants as she has complete control. There are Admins below who can do some things but not everything. A typical function is email validation, compensation for bugs and errors, name changes, investigations, and other non-gameplay tasks.
