Omegian found this fix and posted it in a forum buried a couple pages below. Do this:

Okay, so take the entire web address string and change as follows: (This is an example). The only part that changes is the removal of the "_2317" at the beginning.

http://gc_2317.gamestotal.com/validateemail.cfm?id=501358&code=89872708

Change it to this:

http://gc.gamestotal.com/validateemail.cfm?id=501358&code=89872708

Sorry but validation code provided is not correct. This can be caused by your email software or provider.
To validate your account: Login, Goto Options > Account Details > Enter your validation code there.

Hey Asmo is it possible to sticky this so this doesn`t get lost for new players and update the new player thread as well maybe?
