At least the dig times are even now, and with 2 basic teams/fed/sides on most turn based servers arties are the only way to shake it up. Skill in building doesn`t count for anything when you can get attacked from 2xpr

It happend in 06` Asmo, 3 empires had me in perma VM for over 1.5 years on Fast. It isn`t that difficult even when the dig times were even crazier.

@Error, balance would be limitations during non-UW times as I suggested in a different post, similar to how DP works but with artifact use whether on yourself or on other empires.

The abuse or btc on that server would be phenominal. You would see the explosive development of some empires and a massive shift in the balance of power...

Much like it is now already, only much much quicker.

I agree artifacts are too powerful. Too many turns in both a BTC and a hist. On fast with my old Terran or on normal now I can keep inexplorable empires low on borders in permanent VM easily, because I can dig way more hists in a week than they generate turns coming out of VM.

On ultra though I will just say it was good tactics from you guys. It seems I`m the only one digging, since our side should have more activ empires to generate artifacts.

What I don`t like though is using the market to transfer cash to a guard. Seeing s guard with no income constantly build to 60 mil shouldn`t be allowed. Then the game will just be about having terrans to dig and miners to generate cash and a guard to transfer the cash to. Imo that is purposely exploiting s loophole in game rules.

I was thinking or you could put Ultra turn limit up to say 500, so you can leave and come back, instead of being close by on RT.

SF could do with a server like that.

Touche ThatOneNewb, but as I said, there is an imbalance in how its handled.

An aside though, doing that would definitely screw with any existing agenda for that particular server.

Last time i checked blitzkrieg was a strategy.

You both have valid points.. perhaps a trial can be conduced (if its even possible to do) that disables all arties on a single TB server. Maybe not all, just turn based arties, histora, time capsules.. but still grant access to them for fusing only.

Have a *try it Omegs way* type experiment and see how things work out. *shrugs*

Remind me, who are you again Error? You miss the point, while I do agree its strategy, its abuse to use it all at one time. That isn`t strategy, thats called a blitzkrieg on the ranks and to do something on the server. Sure it was planned, but the last 3 or so UW`s outside of RT have been heavy artifact use almost to the point thus far of very little fight against it. I am just saying that on TB servers, artifacts are too strong and makes fighting pointless when I can just BTC up and counter someone. That isn`t strategy, that is more turns than him because surprise I can counter.

Considering there is very little activity on ultra anyway... what does it matter that arties are used. Its strategic use to keep the remaining members out.

If yall thought it through, perhaps a few of you would have a stash of BTC to use to counter that. Maybe.. tactics.
