Update on econ changes?

Ive said it before, Ill say it again. You guys need to be patient.

They have already confirmed that the econ and round 2 of ship updates is going to happen. It`s been 2 months since the last set of updates, if you`re like most of us you`ve been playing the game for something like ~10 years without any major updates and I`m sure the last batch took at least 2 months to implement. They aren`t getting paid, they have no deadline and they won`t know how long it`s going to take until they are done especially with all the bug shooting that will probably need to be done. If you`re looking for a specific date, you aren`t going to get an answer. If you literally just want them to repeat "We`re working on it" like was said multiple times in the last forum posts let me help put your mind to rest. They`re working on it.

we got some updates, we were excited. Then nothing else came of it and excitement died down

Im not telling you what I think should be done - Im telling you what Ive been told is the plan. Whether you or anyone else disagrees with the proposed order of events is not the question.

Actually o think honestly econ should come first. Makes it slightly easier to rebalance ships

Just repeating whats been stated in the past. They said econ changes would take the longest of all the currently planned stuff.

Npc`s and something else in the near future, ship changes, then econ rebalance

Actually, it would be the opposite I think ankaar, on ship changes coming first before economy changes. If you tweak the racial modifiers you might have to tweak the ship upkeeps and I suspect modify some ships first.

Its been stated that once econ changes are done, people would basically be allowed to restart and keep infra if they so choose to do so.

Theyre doing that because say for instance youre a tax miner with 250 infra in tax - and then they do race changes and eliminate tax as a viable income from miner in an attempt to get people to go cg or mineral production instead. That guy sitting over there with all his infra in tax is going to be crippled.

RTK is waiting for this to happen so that he can change without wasting months worth of infra research.

However, it should be noted that admins have said that ship changes would likely come first - and its entirely possible that that could happen and miners become amazing fighters.

Updates could be soon, or they could be a year away - its very hard to tell because as stated before, BW has a life outside of the game. I wish he didnt, and that 100% of his time could be spent here, but alas the world is not a perfect place

Well if you are a miner the economy isn`t your problem, the bellow par ships are.
So I am not sure how economy modifications will help you

It is kind of disappointing. I was told they were nearly done with the next update (NPC`s and something else) but then BW got busy again before rolling it out.

So I too am just sort of chillin and waiting a bit.

Since the NPC update had nothing to do with econ changes, Im going to assume that means the econ discussion is still quite a ways out RTK. I could be totally wrong though

they need to cut guardian housing income. increase terran commercial income.

What will they change?

Lol RTK you need to cut your losses. Going a different race with no infra is better than switching with max. Brighten your perspective
