While I am getting 48 hours of protection max.....
Others on this slow GC game are getting hundreds of hours of protection.
How can I get more hours of protection?

Those with hundreds of hours is in Vacation Mode (VM)... It is use when i decide not to play for quite some time but yet want to keep your empire safe.
