Losing Goods

My empire has a surplus of goods. My colonies produce more than they require. On individual turns, I produce +1700 goods or so. I had a fairly large stockpile, by my standards just starting. However, anytime I research or do anything that takes up a significant number of turns, I lose a ridiculous amount of goods. Why is this happening?

The game maths fall apart when you use lots of turns at once, can make the difference between going into debt or not. In the CG`s case the message you see after using the turns is probably wrong, check your stockpile. Also check you had enough raw material.
Be especially careful when building large numbers of ships.

Wasnt coded to cut off like that i guess. You can still dump turns into it even tho the cap YOU can get to is 5k.

Of a similar ilk, if my loyalty is 4995, and I use 45 turns, it will go to 5000, but use all my turns. Seems strange that it doesnt just use 1 turn

I noticed that as well, but when i used a turn, the creds i spent came back but the events still show a purchase. I chalked it up to someone buying at the same time i did and i lost out, much like the double-attack bug.

I want to note that if you buy over the limit, you get none of them. Im hoping this can be fixed.

Say I have 1.5 billion.
I purchase 1 billion.
After purchase, I have 1.5 billion, but 4 bil creds have vanished, and it shows in events.

Ive done this a few times before realizing that something was broken.

Not sure why it does this - food allows you to go over, it just disappears down to max food after a turn used - this isnt showing up at all.

The more pop you have, the more goods they consume. If they use more than you make, youll be in the neg.
Not so bad if youre terran since you can make money off agri, tax or comm
Not so bad if youre Guardian as your industry is terrible anyway, but getting them on the market could be a problem.
If youre Aminer, goods shouldn`t matter at all unless youre going industry.

Is it that you have reached the limit?
