Used 38btcs and couple stcs in the fight. Not to build high, but to save time aligning stack for others to make a nice hit.. Overall, a nice event. If i had knew they have limited btc, i would spam some hist too.. haha

31 by my account, and All those who hit the UW at least once were given 10 regs for their participation, Enjoy, also if you hit and haven`t received any prize by now then pm me with a copy and past of one of your hits

Also the NPC had only 100 BTC, most of them were burned up, I just expected more resistance in the form of historia`s and players in the ranks.

Does anybody have an accurate count of how many DIFFERENT players hit the UW?

That would definitely put more stress on the guys running the NPCs lol. The good kind of stress...hopefully ;) I think I heard once that during one of these past events, EE was running all the NPCs.. maybe there should be more volunteers to help out...

I agree.. concept of defenders was a good idea.

But they need to be limited by turns as we are. It doesn`t make sense you are wiped out of nowhere. Then the admins could just as well skip the defenders and make go and disband the fleets of the attackers.

Well, im sure the NPCs had a large enough quantity of BTCs to build fast for the entire event. Perhaps if we had someone who kept using barreras on the NPCs, it may have prevented their use of BTCs... I have tons of bars. I didnt think to even try it... next time, i will.

I built up a few times to make a decent hit, but got smacked every time by the NPCs. Unfortunately I had plans for the weekend, so couldnt really participate until it was obvious, it was too late.

I like the setup of the event with defenders though, in this way the big empires couldnt just build to 400mil and smack it down in a few hours, and more coordination is needed across the server. Though I do think there should be some kind of knowledge about how many BTCs the NPCs have acces to, since I hate using several hours building ships just to see a NPC build up in 2 minutes and wipe me. If Arch did it to me I would at least know he had taken a serious dent in his arti storage, and it would be more bareable.

It was fun though, would have been more fun without the D.Modi.

:p i think we did pretty good with those that were available... i felt that the high pr players that you usually see during normal game play just weren`t interested in defeating the uw... thus it went kaboom !

The D modi was a key to the win i think...not necessarily the single deciding factor i dont think.. There were plenty of ships that could be removed by using fez, which everyone is capable of making so it doesnt necessarily rule out the terrans, miners and maru. What needed to happen I think is everyone coordinate who is going to hit what stack, based on what race they are.
Like.. Guards and virals could hit the stacks that queens would wipe on, while everyone else build queens. all while nibbling away at the fleet.
Also have 2 guys waiting at low pr when the defenders come to stop you, to wipe them out. Since once the defenders realize that hiding at 100mil pr and waiting on you who will never climb (since youre staying low and taking small bites) theyd have to come down and that makes them vulnerable. Theyd deal with lots of UW hitters at once and the 2 people harassing the defenders.... just my 2 cents.

I was also trying to point out how crab UW`s full of capturing ships are for Terrans and Miners.
Not worth the effort in resisting, which might have something to do with why we couldn`t stop the UW.

And yes without the d modi we probably would have done it.

borok, I was trying to illustrate why we were doing small attacks, and picking of one stack at a time, anyway rant over. We can go back to killing each other now....

d modi was such a huge pain... :/
