all this game offers anymore is time to build the empires we like. The real question is will you get bored and quit before it is useful :)

So should I change to a guard to spice this server up? Or would that take to long to be useful?

I don`t think my crew has had to do the market thing either.
I guess it shows how easy miners are to build UW`s when the rest of the fed can cover you from attacks, and no one can dig for artifacts.

sib, I had almost exactly 130 bill when I started building real ships. Also, I posted most of my minerals and a big chunk of food for free on the market. So it was actually the opposite of what sarek is suggesting. Maybe that is just how his crew does stuff.

Sarek there are 12.000 turns in building fodder. Assuming a 20 mil a turn income (which I assume isnt far off) and food at 10 is around 15 mil pr turn net income. Building 12k turns of fodder with an end upkeep of 9 mil will make you some 130 bil in cash during the build, by my calculation (excluding the building cost, including the upkeep). That should be enough to build the rest of the fleet... and I assume Wing had just a little cash saved up before he started...

Sibiriangun, Um the fodder has an upkeep of just over 9million per turn, which using my spreadsheet is about 20billion of per turn upkeep just for the fodder for the 2111 ish turns to build the non fodder. That is why there is a large belief that market help is involved.

Incidentaly the fodder would have required about 16million strafez to build.

I doubt the rest of the fed run out of money anytime soon... Though I still don`t get why you keep thinking the fed sponsor the UWs. The fleets are pure fodder and cost less than you make foddering up, so any miner with a c2 could build those fleets.

Guard is the master race. Especially nowadays with lower # players across all servers. Just the fact of food prices being irrelevant as guard alone is so valuable.

I should have stared as guard rather than Terran on this server, would have made taking down these UW`s much easier.

This is my 5th UW on ultra, and 3rd since ships came along.

I guess they will stop when they have all of the UW ships, or the rest of their fed runs out of money to feed the UW`s

Why stop now eh?
