So after recently coming back this game I found myself trolling through the forum and manged to be get back to posts back in 2006/7. I came across some of my old posts and suddenly the nostalgia of GC back in days came back to me. The long hours researching away, the 10-15 man msn chat rooms where plans were made, attack co-ordinated and general b/s spoken. Its sad to look at the game today and know that will never happen again. All those great people I played with back then who have all left and ones who have sadly passed away (RIP Lab). Anyway miss those old days ?

Just like brotherhood said..we all miss those days. I`d love to see them happen again but I have to admit, and I think it would go for a lot of the old timers..I don`t have that kind of time to invest in playing GC like that anymore. I remember 12+ hour sessions where more than a dozen of us were on MSN taking down the ranks or defending/fighting a UW. Sending spies into feds. The crazy anabolking days.

A few of those people are still around, some just not as active as they used to be and others under different names. i could probably point you to a few

I think if you look close enough at a player`s play style & empire info you can almost remember who`s who :D

I.think everyone who.played back then misses it. As good as it was then, there are still bright spots, and with all the name change its hard to know who still plays. You might be surprised, alot of those guys still play, just under different names/accounts. There is alot of things that are better now than back then, ships are much better balanced, better admins, and better quality of players imo. Hopefully something will break as farvas advertising and we will get some more new players, you never know. :)
