It was a short battle; the Exulians did not have much in the way of a military. Exule was a peaceful agricultural world with a single Garuda class Terran destroyer for peacekeeping operations. The fires of the burning capital could be seen from low orbit. Victor stood looking out through the window of his new Garuda destroyer while behind him the remainder of the crew were being turned into mindless zombies by Victor’s guard detail. Victor was musing over the fact that Exule had been taken by a single transport vessel. Crowley turned his gaze to the multitude of infected ships flying past his vessel’s bridge. He had managed to get permission to land in the small docking bay of the Garuda class Terran destroyer under the guise of a ship in need of immediate medical supplies. From there it was easy, he simply went about infecting the entire crew with the 106 strain. As the destroyer was virtually the planet`s only defense aside from a few squadrons of fighters on the surface, the conquest was relatively simple following the hijacking of the comparatively much larger vessel. Victor had his new crew replace the energy weapons with chemical dispersal units and simply went about gassing the entire populace with his viral agent from orbit, causing each person’s genetics to spontaneously mutate in the most painful fashion imaginable.
