Best Internet security softwar

I can read reviews all day long..I want input from a trusted source..You guys!!

What do you feel is the best internet security sotfware out there now? Things I`ll be doing on this laptop is..being on the internet..duh..downloading things such as ROM`s, movie files..ect.

If anybody says Norton...ugghh..just ugghh

If you`re a Windows user with a lick of common sense, as Jammer said Microsoft Security Essentials is great and completely free.

I`m very happy with McAfee. I have a 4 user license so kids laptops are protected, and my laptop, and home pc, plus my smartphone as well.

I`m using ESET Antivirus.

Do install the freeware CCleaner too. It`s really good.

Common sense is the best anti virus. Aside from that, I`ve been using Microsoft Security Essentials for like 5 years now without a problem.

i like avast. its free too! although there is a paid upgraded version

i`ve heard many times that kaspersky is the best. I have McAfee and it is ok for me, nothing bad so far.
