I know there have been people who have been trying to create a GC alternative, even as a hobby, such as Alpha Centauri.

Have any of you guys seen this page? Has anyone tried approaching Stephen this way? I think for those of you who wanted to create, or take part in a GC that is what the community leaders and members want it to be, this might be the answer.

Lets face it would take alot of work to get it off the ground, also Omeg raises a good point about coding as the Admins have a long standing beef with it

Its a case of too little too late

On that not has anyone seen AC lately ?

it would be nice to have an active person buy the game from Stephen and then maybe just give him a royalty percentage of all paid accounts sold... But hey that would make sense so it won`t happen

We`ve tried many things, even offering to buy gc but he quoted a ridiculous price.

In this area we`ll give you just about everything that includes:
o Our game (includes bug fixes, patches & upgrades)
o Your own domain name (ex: Your-name.gamestotal.com) that has our game customized to `your needs` < --- That would be key, also technically, when you own a "Franchise" you run the website, but knowing Ste, I doubt he means a full ownership type Franchise. Even a partnership with him sounds sketchy to me hence why I won`t bother at this point. The coding isn`t the best and honestly I would rather build my own and fund A|C over any day than this system. Sorry, but after paying my fair share of this game it just doesn`t make economical sense.

And Wolf, it is possible. However an LLC would likely be the best vehicle to make that happen, possibly through a kickstarter type campaign.

Dunno yet, but I opened up a post with subject "franchise partnership" and asked about the fees. If a get an answer back I`ll let you guys know here.
