Event Ideas

Assuming there`s a way to force an empire out of dp at will,

players on every speed sign up for a fight against npc`s. Give every available staff an npc account for each speed (available as in, they forfeit using their own account to participate in the event and are actually active, not just gamestotal active :P). After that, its players vs npc`s. The catch? Players signed up are given 1 hour dp only (subject to change). I don`t feel like going into all the different kinds of details and variations that could come from this, but the basic premise is there.

if we go that route, I think each fed should chose one member to d the uw instead of it being random. Also maybe instead of giving them cash directly give them 6 Xclass c3s of 40k and let the extra land/planets be the income that spurs on the uw also motivates people to fight it

Hmm... i actually like this idea. And ANY empire is eligible. But in the case of fresh starts or empires not financially well off, a half-trillion credit + mineral stipend along with BTC should be granted to help the empire build up all nice and fat-like.

Also given a mystery ship (or up to 3 ships, his/her choice, any race) to use in the fleet.

Afterwards, the $ and extra mins and ships are taken away and the next empire gets a turn at it.

Which fed Uws longest gets a prize. Longest empire gets a grand prize. If a UW is successful, the event is over and the same rules apply, except the UW empire gets his standard UW win and gets to restart and collect his reward as per the norm.

May be a tad annoying for the Admins to set all this up, but it IS withing their power to do.

*UW time is recorded. What ever fed UWs longest gets a price. This will encourage people to join feds or create feds. UW bearer needs to be in a fed!

I know the horders will hate this but that accounts for only 1% of the players anyways:

Randomly setting an empire to UW, no matter what power he/she is at. UW bearer could get a little head start on the info and maybe given a few btcs or maybe even a mysterious ship for the duration of the UW . If UW bearer decides to drop and kill the UW he/she gets punished.

Maybe this will kill some arti stocks and or toss some clusters around and mix it all up a little? It will definitely get everyone to be more active...

Are you guys even capable of addressing the DM hiccups? I thought I recalled that being one of the many, ominous, Stephen-only "black holes" of GC.

How about this: NPC UW (RT) where one of the Existing Feds Elects to Defend it!! No Rebuilding Required. Its a 48 hour event. Happens on a Weekend. Before it all starts - you figure out which Feds want an opportunity to participate (let`s assume four feds go for it) That means there will four UWs.

The Fed that does the best job Defending Wins !!! Best Job Defending equals how high the ending PR is of the NPC!!

Rewards to be determined

well, IF the DM server gets sorted out...if, there`s no reason why we couldn`t do a NPC UW there as well, do a few 24 hour dm round then maybe a 2-3 day one with an npc UW in there some where.

And NPC UW retals on scouts (Evil buahahahaha)

- Each time an empire attacks the UW the empire gets 1 regalo for a maximum of 200 regalo
- Rebuilding with scaling with only playable ships

I like both DM and the UW event ideas. I want to make a request for the UW, though. Have multiple NPCs lined up so we can have like a whole week of fighting :-]

Both ideas your considering sound awesome. Especially if you can get the DM server working again.

I have been thinking on this one for weeks:

Getting at least one win a day for 15 consecutive days = Prize
Getting a win for 30 consecutive days = Good prize
Getting a win for 45 consecutive days = Great prize. Maybe limit this to the first 3 people to do it.

Promotes winning and activity.
Thinking artifact package for 15 days, a 20k c2 or 50k c3 for 30 days and maybe a big nice thing for 45 days. 5k fert, 15k large, 10k single planet?
