Best digging planets?

Its been awhile since I last played and maybe some new techniques have been figured out for digging. So whats the best planet to dig on now-a-days? I always had a 2 land spaz as my base and I`m looking at doing it again but maybe its not the best anymore. Here`s my choices so far..

E.1685 Oceanic 2 10 50 10 12 371 Red Crystal
E.1594 Oceanic 2 10 50 10 12 247 Terran Metal

What if I infected a 10 land oceanic..would it dig the same?

E.0255 Oceanic 2 17 50 8 10 498 Terran Metal

E.1687 U.Spazial 2 17 3100 1 2 0 White Crystal

Ima dig on both for awhile..then infect the oceanic and see if there`s any difference

As a guard a 10 land ocean was always the best for me but I dig on a 10k spaz from an event awhile back and it yields great results.

by that i mean i noticed an increased frequency of spores and cave-ins soon after i was attacked and placed in dp

Someone told me that you are more likely to dig up artifacts you have alot of. I just tested this, and it is not true. The factors as far as I can tell are: planet, planet size(original size), race, act of giving loyalty(not having lots of loyalty), luck arties, attacking someone, being out of dp, paid account, time, and turns spent. these are all very commonly referenced, and I have noticed an effect with each. Any others?

I am digging on a 20k land spaziel and i sometimes forget that it`s a 20k land spaziel when i am digging on it. Doesn`t feel like a 20k spaziel ;0

So dig rates are calculated based on the planet`s original configuration and remains so regardless of future modifications.. interesting since one can potentially gordo a spaz to a large size, and fund a low planet economy plus digging.. nice.

That`s what I thought. So, those 1 land event planets are just junk. No wonder there are so many of them floating around on borders.

No. You can take a 2 land u.spaz and gordo it up... say to 2,000 land, and it will still dig as well as a 2 land spaz. I have tested it myself.

I can`t tell if there is a difference between event planets like a 1 land ocean or spaz, and just normal 10 land oceans and 2 land spazials. If you changed the land size of a 5 land spaz to a 1 land spaz, does it keep the 5 land modifier? I remember DM testing some event planets and the output was much worse than just a normal planet.

Yes, in my experience from digging the 2 land spaz and 10 land oceanic are best for digging. 2 land gas were good for commons. I was going for a oceanic or spaz unless something new was discovered. Looks like I`ll have a two land spaz. As my base again. Thanks guys.

from what i know and have seen of the coding i`d assume that it takes the mid-range average of the planets land (between min/max in the coding) against the current land along with the planets dig values

so in theory a 10 land oceanic `is` the best digging planet along with a 2 land spaz.. but looking directly at the back end oceanic and spaz are without a doubt the two best digging planets

empirical evidence Opvs... my personal experience digging as a Terran showed a consistent increase in quantity and variety of artifacts dug when I used a 10 land ocean vs 11 or higher. Also I had better luck on a 2 land Spaz vs a 2 land Gas.
