what is the point of loyalty and how important is it to my colonies?

well loyality is the rewards for each of your colonies it is best suited for tax(population) based income empires basically loyality increase the income you get per turn by 3 % at the max and the max loyality youc an get on yoru colonies each is 5000
The only races that benefit from loyalty are Aspha Miner and Viral. If you are not one of those races, don`t worry about it.
Guardian race also benefits from loyalty, but they cannot reward their populations to increase loyalty.

Loyalty increases income from taxes from population.
So yes its important if your tax based or if you want a little extra income, but its not vital to most empires.
