UW reform

I think I hit on something in one of my posts in the RT Restart thread...

You complete the UW and blow up the server, you get a ship. The catch is that anyone who UW`d before you lost all their UW ships.

(Let the groans begin)

Im serious. To really get the most out of the Bad@ssness of blowing up a UW, you would have to make sure that you are the only person holding the rewards when it`s over. If anyone else wants a reward, they have to blow up a UW, and thus remove your reward.

In order to get all the ships, you`d have to UW three consecutive times. You are the only one with the ships. If anyone else UWs successfully, it breaks the chain and all your ships are lost, and they start their own chain.

guess I shoulda read the post, thought I was being original lol... I think that`s a bit much wolf. what if the UWer gets a choice, 1 ship and try for a chain or all 3 ships and forced to be guardian? the whole fed should definatly not get eins though

I like it. UW`er gets all 3 ships if he blows. everyone in his fed gets the eins and 1/4 the arti pack and MAYBE a planet of their choosing with any land up to no more than 1/4 of the land UW`er can get. or 15k U Large, whichever is smaller

I don`t think this is a bad idea, but maybe when you successfully complete a UW you get all 3 ships then rather than have to complete a chain. What if a fed mate wants to UW? Hmmm interesting

Eins is not OP to the point that it imbalances servers. It is a good ship yes, but the stats aren`t ridiculous. Frankly speaking, not all races/players will benefit from it

I like giving the fed 1 UW ship, the Eins. They get no other reward?

And then after the uw. That federation is now super op. So good luck even trying to fed war against them cause they will have the 150% bonus and now ships that will rape your ancestry for generations.

What if every member of the fed at the time of the UW got 1 ship? That way you get more team cohesion and incentive for a UW. At the same time stirring up the server to prevent that fed from getting a ship.

If another fed sets off a UW the previous fed empires would lose the ship; as stated in the original post.

Just my two cents.

Giving all 3 ships on everything except Ultra and RT would work. Ultra and RT are fast enough where you theoretically could UW three consecutive times within a reasonable amount of time

I dont get your argument Rag. That its hard for someone to UW against 80% of the big empires on the normal server? Yes, I agree, thats why the ones in control of the server usually do the UWs.

Look at the history of slow/ultra/fast. Many empires have UWed multiple times there and it has only become easier.

Why not just give the UW person all THREE ships, but take away everyone else`s? Given the way things worked in the past, UWing 3 consecutive times on a TB server is just not feasible on TB.

For example, on Normal, I can say with certainty that it would be extremely hard for any non UFPer to UW without 100+ BTC and a huge wad of cash. Even if they pulled it off once, it would be a very long time before they could do it again, and by then we would have set off another UW.

Hmm, I like it. I think it might give some incentive on TB in particular to fight a UW. As we all know there has been almost no resistance on those servers.

But the incentives to his fed would also be at stake.. See... each fedmate gets rewards when someone from that fed sets off a UW.

I will not specify what those rewards might be, I leave that to you.

Problem is... It will only terrify 1 person, not enough to terrify the entire server into action.

So the glory of you being the only one on the server with UW ships doesnt appeal to you? And the threat of losing it all when someone else UWs doesnt terrify you?

We should just revert the uw reward program back to the original. BUT id rather have people land being affected by a uw. That would just make sense in my mind.
